SAP

What is a SAP rating?

A SAP rating is produced through an evaluation of the expected energy costs per square metre of floor space for ventilation, space heating, water heating and lighting within each property.

What does a SAP assessment involve?

A SAP assessment reviews the Dwelling Fabric Energy Efficiency (DFEE) to ensure it meets or exceeds the Target Fabric Energy Efficiency (TFEE) as well as the Dwelling Efficiency Rating (DER) to ensure it is not greater than the Target Emission Rating (TER).

Is a SAP the same as an EPC?

No, but a SAP assessment does determine the A-G rating on the EPC and you cannot obtain an EPC without passing your as-built SAP assessment.

Who can complete my SAP assessment?

Only a registered SAP assessor can conduct a SAP assessment on your dwelling. Jewson/ Greenworks have a dedicated team of SAP assessors across the country to help you meet compliance requirements and offer advice and support from design to completion.
