Rainwater Harvesting
Rainwater collected from rooftops is an obvious benefit, stored
in an underground tank and being immediately suitable for
garden-hose supply, toilet-flushing and for use in washing
machines. Average households can expect to save up to 50% of their
water consumption by installing a rainwater harvesting system.
Self-cleaning filters mean minimal maintenance, and some systems
avoid the need for a base made from concrete, which isn't a 'green'
material.
