The Bostik Cementone Bituminous Felt Adhesive for Roof is available in black colour and weighing 2.50 Litre. The manufacturing compound makes it a solvent-borne bituminous adhesive for bonding multiple types of roofing felt. Bituminous Felt Adhesive is a cold applied, solvent-borne bituminous adhesive for bonding all types of roofing felt. The adhesive product can be used over felt, asphalt and metal. In addition, it can be used also for bonding mineral chippings to bituminous surfaces. It cannot be used with or over tar based products. Bituminous Felt Adhesive should be applied to a clean, dry, dust free surface using a mop, squeegee or stiff brush. The product provides a flexible bond between 5 to 50 degrees centigrade, aiding it to harden and soften with changes of temperature. Drying time vary depending on weather conditions, and time permitted for adhesive to develop a tack. Heavy applications and low temperatures, however, will result in extended drying times. The compound can be used for internal applications in both commercial and domestic domains. It is recommended that when laying felt onto timber or wood substrates, the first layer of felt is nailed with galvanised clout head nails. Subsequent layers can be bonded with Bituminous Felt Adhesive.
