Jewson online delivery & collection information


Does Jewson deliver? Of course we do! We also offer a Click & Collect service. This page provides all you need to know about delivery & collection for online orders placed with Jewson. We offer flexible fulfilment options to work around your schedule, workload and life.

Skip the heavy lifting and get bulk orders delivered; our delivery lorries can bring big items such as gravel, sand and timber direct to a location of your choice. Or if it’s better for you, collect items from your nearest branch as part of your usual day. Simply choose your preferred option at checkout and we’ll keep you updated on the status of your order. 

Delivery information & costs


Delivery charges depend on the order value and whether you hold a Jewson credit account or not. Read to find out charges for different account types, as well as timeframes and availability information. We’re currently running a no-contact delivery service, read more about delivery during covid-19 here.


Delivery for cash and credit account customers

If you’re a cash or credit account customer, delivery is free on all orders (excluding tool hire). If you’re interested in upgrading your account from cash to credit, or want more information, check out our account options page.


Delivery for guests and web login customers

If you are signed in with your web login or checkout as a guest, you will pay a £20 delivery fee on all orders under £100 (ex VAT).  


When will orders arrive?

Wherever possible, we will deliver your order the next day if you order before 10am. If there is a problem with your order, we will call you before your delivery date to discuss this with you. If you need your order delivered over the weekend, please call your local branch to arrange this.
 

Where will my delivery be made?

Deliveries will be made to the nearest kerbside at the delivery address you provided to us when you checked out. Our drivers will unload your order from the vehicle for you. If you are working from within a building site, our friendly drivers will do their best to get your items as close to where you need them as possible but they will be restricted by the access available due to the size of our vehicles. 
 

Non-standard delivery areas

Customers who wish to have items delivered outside of the UK mainland, remote areas or the Scottish Highlands may incur a higher delivery cost.  Delivery time may also be longer than stated for some areas.  Please place your order and we will contact you within one working day to discuss delivery options and associated costs. If you are not happy with the delivery charges we quote, you may cancel the order and get a full refund.

The following postcodes do not qualify for free delivery, but we will endeavour to get the cheapest possible delivery charge for you if you live in any of these areas: GY, JE, IM, AB31-38, AB41-45, AB51-56, BT, IV30-32, PA20-24, PA22-27, PA30-35, PH1, PH10, FK19-21, HS, IV*, KA27-28, KW, PA20-21, PA28-29, PA36-38, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH, ZE, CF41-42, LD3, NP9, NP22-23.
 

Click & Collect information


Collection is available from all of our UK branches. You can choose your local branch, or select one conveniently located near to your current work site; whichever you prefer. 

Is collection free?

Yes, Click & Collect is free! There is no charge for collection orders regardless of account type. You can collect from any one of our branches nationwide. Enter your postcode during your shopping journey to see collection availability in locations near you.

When will orders be ready?

If you place your order before 4 pm on a working day, your order will be available to collect in branch 1 hour after you have ordered. Orders placed after 4 pm will be available to collect the next working day. If you place an order on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday, your order will be ready on the next working day.


Collection during COVID-19

We’ve adjusted our ways of working to keep you and our colleagues safe. All of our branches are open for you to visit. When browsing or picking up items please respect the measures we have put in place around social distancing, hygiene and face coverings.

  • Face coverings must be worn over your nose and mouth at all times while in the shop area of branches (unless you are exempt).
  • We will give you a free face covering if you need one. Social distancing is in place in all branches, we’ve put floor markings in our branches to help you keep a safe distance from other people.
  • Access and capacity to some areas have been limited, your local branch will indicate if they have any zones like this. Hand sanitiser will be readily available at stations.
