Updates on our Tool Hire offering during COVID-19 crisis


You will notice some changes to our service and new measures which have been introduced to help protect our customers and colleagues. We are still open to tool hire enquiries and will aim to deal with your query quickly and professionally. However, we ask you to be patient with us as we adapt and introduce our new ways of working. 


HOW DO I ORDER TOOL HIRE ONLINE?

Unfortunately, we are currently only able to take tool hire enquiries through the website from existing, verified account customers. If you hold an existing account, please click here to register or log in. 

If you do not hold an account but would still like to order, you can do this by calling or emailing your local branch. You can find their details here.

Tool hire orders through the website will generate an enquiry. We will give you a call to confirm your order which you will then be able to collect or will be delivered. Please do not travel to the branch until you have received this call as we cannot guarantee the item will be in stock at that branch.


​​​​​​​WHAT ARE THE HIRE PERIODS?

24 hours - First 24 hour period.
Additional 24 hours - Every day after the first 24 hours, up to the equivalent weekly hire rate and thereafter.
Weekend  - Friday 3.00pm to Monday 9.00am.  Special rates for Bank Holiday weekends.
Week  - Hire rate for each consecutive 7-day period. 


​​​​​​​WHAT FORMS OF ID DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?

Identification will be required for non-credit account customers when hiring. Types of identification accepted include driving licence, credit card, and debit card. When ordering online, you will need to take ID into your nearest branch. 


DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?

Yes, the amount of deposit required will be quoted and needs to be paid in advance. For online orders, a member of the team will call you to take payment. 


COLLECTION AND DELIVERY INFORMATION

You can either collect from your local branch or arrange delivery. A standard delivery charge will apply; the fee will be confirmed upon checkout. We will give you a call to confirm your order which you will then be able to collect or will be delivered. Please do not travel to the branch until you have received this call as we cannot guarantee the item will be in stock at that branch.


WHAT ABOUT SAFETY?

Accidental Damage Protection is offered to protect you against any accidental damage on equipment hired. Terms and conditions apply.

A Residual Current Device provides protection against electric shock. We recommend RCDs when using electrical equipment (240 volts) outside or in damp conditions.
Every item undergoes a full service after every hire. Our standards of service meet those set by the Hire Association Europe (HAE) and are constantly monitored.
