Sharon Ginn, Yardworker – Driver

Having travelled the length and breadth of the European autoroutes, autobahn and autopiste delivering building materials, I fancied doing a little more of a local driving job.

So, in 2004 I joined Jewson and Saint-Gobain as a HGV driver on a class 2 crane lorry. It made the job of driving more interesting with  more opportunities of doing different things. I really enjoyed meeting  people and helping customers. I now work in the yard serving customers and being a bit more hands-on. There are new  challenges all the time in this current economic climate and keeping customers happy to come back time and time again is just as  important as the top boardroom job!

I may be just one cog in the machine, but together we all make Saint-Gobain a worldwide success.
