The Simpson Strong-Tie Nail Plate which measures 140 x 100 x 1.50mm (L x W x T) is made from pre-galvanised mild steel. The material is known for its formability and resistance to corrosion. The product is used to connect two or more timber members together and can be bent on site. It is installed using specified fasteners using pairs of 3.75 x 30mm square twist nails. The nail plates can be used in various applications, in particular for jointing or the connection of wood elements in the same plan. The supporting members include solid wood, glued-laminated wood, composite lumber while the supported members are solid wood, glued-laminated wood, composite lumber, triangular trusses and profiles.
