During extreme weather conditions, the chimney cap traps and prevents the cold or hot air to enter through the chimney maintaining the temperature of the household. The caps prevents blocks on the chimney, which usually happens due to concrete debris, twigs and leaves. The chimney caps also prevents embers from the flue chamber entering the roof, thereby protecting the household from damage due to fire.
